William “Doc” G. Doherty

William G. “Doc” Doherty age 75 of Maple Shade passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020. Born in Port Clinton, Ohio on January 8, 1945 he grew up in Moorestown. Doc proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as manager for Checkers in Stratford and also worked at Wawa for a time.  Doc was sober for 21 years thanks to AA, and was an avid Ohio State Football and New England Patriots fan.

Beloved husband of Eleanor Doherty (nee King), loving father of Bernadette Leahy, Christine (Mike) Taylor, and Jacqueline (Tim) Miller, dear brother of Bobbe (Karen) Fulton, cherished grandfather of 8, great grandfather of 14 and great great grandfather of 1, Doc was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
