William "Bill" J. Rodgers

William J. "Bill" Rodgers of Maple Shade passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021. He was 71 years old. Born in Philadelphia on June 11, 1950, Bill was formerly of Marlton before moving to Maple Shade 8 years ago. Bill retired as a warehouseman for Edward Don in Westampton and was a member of Teamsters Local #169 Philadelphia. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Merchantville, and former president, secretary and coach of Maple Shade Street Hockey. Above all else, his greatest love was for that of his family, especially his grandsons Anthony and Michael who were such an important part of his life.

Beloved husband of Linda Rodgers (nee Kaweck), loving father of Kelly (Steven) Finley and Kyle Rodgers, cherished grandfather of Anthony and Michael Finley, dear brother of Patrick (Kelly) Rodgers, loving brother-in-law of Cynthia (Todd) Mitchell, also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends, Bill was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Rodgers and brother of the late James Rodgers.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Tuesday evening August 31st, 7-9 pm and Wednesday morning 8:30- 9:30 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 1st, 10:00 am at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 43 W. Maple Ave., Merchantville. Interment will be private. Facial masks are optional.
