Walter P. Salabritas, Jr.
Walter P. Salabritas, Jr. of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Thursday October 21, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia on July 15, 1946, he was a longtime resident of Maple Shade. Walt proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War 1966-1972. He retired from Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill in Barrington. Fishing, camping, listening to music and visiting the Jersey shore were among the hobbies he enjoyed.
Beloved husband of 52 years to Patricia Salabritas (nee Nelson), loving father of Karen (Kevin) Glisson, and Greg Salabritas, cherished grandfather of Kerissa (Patrick) McIlhenny, adoring great grandfather of Patrick, dear brother of Jeff (Julie) Salabritas, also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends, son of the late Walter, Sr. and Frances Salabritas, brother of the late Bruce and Keith.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Monday October 25, 2021 10 am - 12 noon at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
