Thomas M. Arena

Thomas M. Arena, known affectionately as Tom to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on January 24, 1945, in Riverside, California, Tom's life was characterized by his unwavering work ethic, his amiable nature, and his deep love for his family.

Tom is survived by a loving family that includes his children, Thomas Arena Jr. and Jeffrey Arena; his cherished granddaughter, Sydney Arena (Barry); and his five siblings, Robert Arena and his wife Jackie, Joseph Arena and his wife JoAnn, Joanne Gorman and her husband, the late Gary Gorman, Lorraine Iacovelli and her husband John, and Mary Lou Doyle and her husband Jim. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who will all miss his friendly demeanor and his ability to fix just about anything.

Those who knew Tom would describe him as the epitome of friendliness, always ready with a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. His hands were rarely still, as he was a handy man who could be counted on to lend his skills wherever they were needed. Above all, Tom was loving—a man whose heart was firmly rooted in the well-being and happiness of his family.

Tom's professional life was marked by dedication and hard work. He was the kind of person who not only took pride in his own tasks but was also genuinely interested in the lives of his colleagues and clients. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of working with him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, March 8th from 9 am to 11 am at the Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 North Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be private.
