Susan Garro (nee Innatore) of Maple Shade passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the age of 101. She was born in Camden on December 12, 1920 and was a lifetime area resident. Mrs. Garro retired from Campbell Soup Company in Camden. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and enjoyed cooking, baking, and playing bingo. The best times were time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. During World War II, she served the war effort as a "Rosie the Riveter", working on communication equipment in RCA.
Beloved wife of the late Samuel J. Garro, Sr., who passed away 12 years ago, loving mother of Joseph Garro, Samuel, Jr. (Laurie) Garro, and Susan (Jay) Romano, cherished grandmother of Cheryl Garro, Jennifer (Doug) Bender, Nicholas (Kristina) Romano, Gina (Michael) Girouard, Michelle Garro and Kimberly Garro, adoring great grandmother of Caleb, Caitlin, Calvin, Gary, Kelsey, Caylee, Cole, Bryce, Levi and Isaac.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mrs. Garro’s viewing and visitation with her family on Tuesday evening September 6th 7 - 9 pm and Wednesday morning September 7th 9:30 - 10:30 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 7th, 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Garro’s name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital @
