Robert J. Withers, Sr.

Robert J. Withers Sr., 79 of Delran, NJ, formerly of Camden, NJ went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Beloved wife Helen R. Withers (nee Haines) of 61 years. He is survived by his beloved children, Helen M. (Fred) of Medford NJ, Robert J. Withers Jr. of Moorestown, NJ and Joseph W. Withers of Delran, NJ. Treasured Poppie to Emanuel R. Tocco (Heather), Meghan (Will) Josey, Colleen Withers, Andrew Withers, Rachel Withers and Autumn Withers. Great grandfather to Antonella, Preston Tocco and Kaiden Josey. Also survived by Monette Withers of Delran, NJ. Dear brother to Shirley (John) Zilkow of Costa Mesa, CA. Loving uncle to Joanna Trivanovich (predeceased) and Jonathan Zilkow and their families. Also survived by his lifelong friend Michael (Peggy) Marto and Phil (Eleanor) Goodman.    Bob was a manager at A&P for 25 years. He left to pursue his passion in finance at Metlife Financial, where he garnered his CFP and ChFC designations. He was a well respected financial planner. Bob loved to golf, shoot pool,discuss politics and business,and travel the world. Bob cherished his family and loved connecting with people. He had innate ability to befriend complete strangers. Interment private at the convenience of the family by Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home, Maple Shade, NJ. Donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania to the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, 3400 Civic Center Blvd, Phila.,Pa.
