In Loving Memory of Robert (Rob) Anthony Forcella
Robert (Rob) Anthony Forcella, a cherished resident of Pennsauken, New Jersey, peacefully passed away on August 25th, 2023, at Samaritan Hospice House. He was born in Camden and graduated from Willingboro High School. For the past 45 years, Robert called Pennsauken his home.
Robert's life was profoundly marked by love and family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Roxanne Marie Forcella. He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Smith and Denise Forcella-Lula. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren: Courtney (Gina) Smith, Leah Smith, Zebulun Smith, Zachery Smith, Breanna Smith,5 great grandchildren Gianna Smith and MaLeena Smith . He also leaves behind three great-grandchildren: Lola Lowry, Courtney Smith Jr., and Carter Smith.
Robert was a cherished brother to Alberto Forcella Jr. and sister Donna Conigliaro as well as loved brother-in-law to Donna Forcella and Gary Conigliaro. His warmth extended to his nieces and nephews, Maria Christi Forcella-Brachman, Steven Brachman, Dr. Kristina Conigliaro Masi, Christopher Masi, and Elyse Conigliaro Capone and Marco Capone, as well as numerous loving cousins. His close bond with Leonard Yovnello added to the rich tapestry of his life.
In his journey through life, Robert cultivated deep friendships. Special gratitude goes to friends Jimmy Williams, Dennis and Patty Cuccurullo, Earl Burkett, Harry Santoro, Bob Kelly, Megan Seidelmann, Karen Folk, Artie Irons, William Winkler II, William Natale, Jeff Sprenkel, Catherine Crowell, Aidaliz Jones and the many others who offered unwavering support to his family during their time of need.
Robert embarked on a remarkable 40-year career in baking, commencing with Pestritto’s Bakery and later joining the baking division of Heinz Foods, where he dedicated 25 years of his life. His expertise in baking took him across the nation, where he passionately trained numerous food outlets in the art of his craft. Among his many travels, he developed a deep love for the vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Robert was a student of numismatics. He generously shared his knowledge, guiding many into this fascinating hobby.
Robert's unique personality and infectious sense of humor endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love that will forever resonate in the hearts of his legion of friends and acquaintances.
Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Robert's life to be held at the Happy Hour Club 746 Laurelton Ave, Maple Shade on August 30th between 3 and 7 p.m.
Though Robert has departed this earthly realm, his spirit will continue to shine brightly through the memories and love he shared with all of us. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
