Robert J. Acker
Robert J. Acker of Maple Shade passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was 39 years old. Born in Willingboro on May 18, 1982, he moved to Maple Shade with his family in 1989. Bob was employed in the maintenance department at Burlington Manor. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where he also attended elementary school and went on to graduate from Maple Shade High School, Class of 2000. Bob deeply loved his family, he enjoyed going to estate sales and auctions, watching and playing sports and attending concerts. His greatest joy in life was fishing.
Beloved son of John W. Acker, Jr. and Rosemary Acker (nee Heidi), loving brother of John W. III (Jennifer) Acker, Heidi (Scott) Wahl, James Acker, Nancy Acker and Kevin (Lauren) Acker, cherished uncle of John W. IV "L.J.", Lindsey, Grace, Scarlett and Raegen, devoted Godfather of Jameson and Grace, he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation on Friday, August 20, 2021, 5 - 8 pm; and Saturday, 9 - 10 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 21, 2021; 10:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment will be in Jesus Bread of Life Cemetery, Mt. Laurel. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at the above address. Masks are requested at the funeral home and church.
