Richard C. Ferber of Maple Shade passed away on December 8, 2018. He was 60 years old. He was loved by so many and will be remembered always for his kindness, generosity, and selfless nature. Rick was a resident of Maple Shade for the last 38 years and owned and operated European Auto/Marlton Car Clinic. He was the president of the Professional Automotive Technicians Association, past president of the NJ Repair Excellence Council, member of SAE International, founding member of International Automotive Technician Network, member of the Advisory Board of Camden Co. Technical School and the Advisory Board of Burlington County Institute. Rick was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan, enjoyed snow skiing, and above all, loved spending time and making memories with his family. Beloved husband of Sandy Ferber (nee Messina), loving father of Megan (Graham) Clinthorne, Laura (Scott) Richards and Matthew Ferber, cherished grandfather of Charlotte ("Peach"), Victoria, Hazel, and Ivy, dear brother of William, Edward, and David. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Saturday, December 15, 10:00 – 11:45 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a scholarship at Mercer County Community College in Rick's name. The scholarship will fund tuition and curriculum expenses for one student majoring in Automotive Technology.
