Muriel M. Meehan (nee Davies) of Maple Shade, age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia on October 7, 1942 and was a longtime resident of Maple Shade having moved there in 1971. Muriel was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church where she was active with the PTA. She was a former member of Maple Shade Town Council, a devoted girl scout leader and a member of Deborah Hospital Foundation. Above all her cherished family was the most important part of her life.
Beloved wife of 62 years to John Meehan, loving mother to John, Jr. (Janine) Meehan, Kelly Thomas, Barbara (Frank) Grazioli, and Shanon (Troy) Baynum, dear sister of Barbara (George) Pohubka, cherished grandmother of Nicole (Tom) McGarvey, John (Christine) Meehan, Bryan Meehan, Maggie Meehan, Kelsey (Akie) Williams, Edward (Christina) Thomas, Justin (Kimberly) Thomas, Tyler (Tori) Thomas, Christopher Thomas, Bailey Thomas, Priscella Grazioli, Troy Baynum, Jr., Charles Baynum and Lilyanna Baynum, adoring great grandmother of Declan, Quinn, Jack, Johanna, Alexis, John, Valentina, Mila, Carson and Annakat.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family on Friday, February 10, 2023, 10:30-11:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am. Entombment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
