Margaret Beryl Spaar (nee Roberts) of Cherry Hill passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 19, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years of age. Beryl was born on May 29, 1935 in Scranton, Pa to the late Franklin and Elizabeth Roberts. She was a longtime member of Moorestown United Methodist Church, (O.E.S.) the Order the Eastern Star in Mt. Holly, and (DAR) the Daughters of the American Revolution. Beryl also supported her husbands’s and sons organizations including the Maple Shade Moorestown Masonic Lodge, Order of DeMolay, WWII Submarine Veterans Association and the 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers of America (Revolutionary War re-enacting unit). Her greatest pleasure was hosting her family for visits and cooking and baking for her children and many grandchildren.
Beloved wife of 70 years to Kenneth E. Spaar Sr., loving mother of Kenneth E. (Miyuki) Spaar Jr., of Solvang, Ca., Stephen E. Spaar of Sicklerville, NJ, Keith A. Spaar of Cherry Hill, NJ and J. Eric (Sheila) Spaar of Winston-Salem, NC, dear sister of Luther (Trudy) Roberts, cherished grandmother of Kenneth E. (Corinne Gunter) Spaar 3rd, Erika Spaar, Daniel Spaar, Sarah Spaar, Julia (Javan) Haas, Keith A. Spaar Jr., Ethan E. Spaar, Willa A. Spaar, Mary (Josh) Putrasahan, and Jon E. Spaar, Jr., Beryl will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family on Monday March 24, 2005, 5-7 PM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Her funeral service will follow 7 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
