Judith A. Lindstrom

Judith Ann Lindstrom (nee Coleman), 85, former longtime resident of Maple Shade, NJ, peacefully passed away in Moorestown, NJ, on December 15, 2023, after a long illness.

Judie was born in Pottsville, PA on March 24, 1938, to the late John (Vince) and Frances Coleman. She married Robert Lindstrom in 1956 and they settled in Maple Shade and raised three children. Judie was a talented seamstress and crafter, avid reader, competitive Scrabble, Canasta and Mexican Train player, Red Hats member, Outlander fan, and enthusiastic traveler.  She loved the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where the family enjoyed a summer home for many years.   

She was predeceased by daughter Melanie McGarvey, brother Joel Coleman, grandson Erik Lindstrom,  parents John and Frances Coleman, and husband Bob.

Judie is survived by two children, Lori Knickerbocker (Bryan) and Dean Lindstrom (Lisa); son-in-law Kevin McGarvey; grandchildren, Kevin Knickerbocker (Sarah), Courtney Knickerbocker (Alex), Trevor Knickerbocker (Becky), Conor McGarvey, Casey McGarvey (DJ), Karson Lindstrom (Katy), Drake Lindstrom (Emma) and Allison McGarvey; and great-grandchildren, Ayden, Juliyen, Madelyne, Nikolai, Kalliope and Shane; and one sister, Denise Lannon (Kevin).    

The family thanks The Evergreens Continuing Care Retirement Community for their excellent and compassionate care of Judie during her last years.

A memorial visitation and service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade, NJ. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judie’s name may be made to Compassus Hospice (CompassusLivingFoundation.org) or Alzheimer’s Association (Alz.org).
