Joseph V. Stefanko of Maple Shade passed away on August 12, 2017. He was 82. Joe retired from Hoeganaes, where he worked as an electrician and was a lifelong area resident. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Joe was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5714.Predeceased by his wife Mary (née Glass) also his first wife Marion (nee Jordan), loving father of Kathleen (Daniel) Monaghan, Elizabeth (James) Charlton and Joseph, Jr. (Chris) Stefanko, also survived by his step daughter Janie Goff and his sister Elizabeth (Steve) Schwartzer, and cherished grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 4.Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing and visitation with his family on Wednesday evening, August 16th, 6-8 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade, and Thursday morning, August 17th 10-11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am. Entombment will be in Locustwood Memorial Park.
