Joseph McCotter of Maple Shade passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday January 31, 2018. He was 67 years old. He was born in Philadelphia, and resided in Cherry Hill before moving to Maple Shade in 1971. Joe was a 24-year member of the Operating Engineers Local #542 and proudly worked for JJ White Inc of Philadelphia. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a member of the American Legion Squadron #832 in Philadelphia. Joe was passionate about cars and loved spending his free time restoring and showing the family's 1976 Corvette. Beloved husband of Patricia McCotter (nee Sees), loving father of Joseph and Matthew (Kelley) McCotter, dear brother of Patricia (Dan) McGrath, Anne Hope, Eileen Tischner, John (Anne Marie) McCotter and cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Friday evening, February 9th, 7-9 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 10th, 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment will be private.
