Joseph D. Labbe, Jr.

Joseph D. Labbe, Jr of Maple Shade passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was 71 years of age. Born in Philadelphia on December 20, 1950, he resided in Maple Shade for the last 31 years. Joe retired from Sears after 41 years where he worked as a repair technician, and also spent some time working at Auto Zone. In his younger years, he worked alongside his Dad in the Heating and Air Conditioning business. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, watching Philadelphia professional sports and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. Joe was a car enthusiast, his 1965 Chevy Malibu being his favorite. He liked to ride his motorcycle and take trips to Atco Dragway to watch the races. Joe was known as a jack of all trades, if you needed something repaired you just called Joe. Any spare time was spent with his loving family, especially his grandchildren. You could also find him at times relaxing in his recliner watching westerns and listening to oldies and jazz music.

 

Beloved husband, life partner and best friend of 31 years to Diane Labbe (nee Glass), loving step father of Michael Kelly, Cheryl Kelly, Christie (Kyle) Schippers and Cathy Kelly, cherished grandfather of Kiersten, Evan, Alex, Trevor, Brody, Connor, Jaxon, Avery and Amelya, dear brother of Doris (the late Jim) Silance, Richard (Denise) Labbe, Lynne (Jim) Musgrove, son of the late Joseph, Sr. and Clara Labbe and brother of the late Carol Robling, Joe will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation and gathering with his family on Monday December 5th, 5-7 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. A memorial service for Joe will follow at 7 pm.
