John J Norton

Norton, John J. On February 26th, 2020. Of Philadelphia, PA. Age 53. Beloved son of Arthur and Constance Norton. Devoted father of Kyle Norton (Gabriel), Kelly Beaumont (Brandon), Amanda Norton and Alyssa Norton. Loving brother of Larry Norton (Donna), Bob Norton (Eileen) and Angela Kiernan (Keith). John will also be missed by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends. John loved the outdoors and enjoyed every minute he could spend there. In his prime, John was an avid hunter at the Norton family property in Hillsgrove, PA. John also loved fishing with his dad and brother Bob at the jersey shore, and he has - and still holds - the New Jersey saltwater record for a Sandbar shark at 168.5 lbs caught 6/27/1987. He loved the family dog, Eva, who gave him unconditional comfort and affection at all the right moments. John also enjoyed singing/jamming, and playing pool. Most of all though, John cherished the time spent with his family. He would often tell friends and strangers alike how proud he was of his children and that they were the best things to ever happen to him. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday March 7 th from 9-10 AM at the St. Martha Parish, 11301 Academy Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154-3304. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Philadelphia FOP Lodge 5, 11630 Caroline Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154.
