John E. Galson

John E. Galson of Maple Shade passed away on Thursday April 27, 2023. He was 73 years old. He was born in Philadelphia on January 31, 1950 and resided in Maple Shade for 45 years. John proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War. He retired from IBEW Local # 98 where he worked as an electrician and also worked at the Navy Shipyard. He was a member of Maple Shade VFW Post #2445. John enjoyed playing pinochle, trips to the casinos, visiting family and friends. He really was a friendly guy and known to talk to everyone.

Beloved husband of 49 years to Lynn Galson (nee Wildermuth), loving Dad to Doug Galson and Eric (Samantha) Galson, and will also be dearly missed by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and good friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to John's viewing and visitation witth his family on Tuesday evening, May 2nd 7 pm - 9 pm and Wednesday morning 11 am - 12 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in the NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project @woundedwarriorproject.org or to the American Diabetes Association @diabetes.org
