Joan C. Carroll

Joan C. Carroll (nee Nicholson) passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 3, 2023. She was 87 years of age. Born in Philadelphia on December 11, 1935, she resided in Haddonfield before moving to Mt. Laurel. Joan earned her Bachelors Degree from Rutgers University and retired from RCA where she worked as an executive secretary. She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Maple Shade until its closing and then St. Michaels Lutheran Church, Cherry Hill.  She was a wiz at crossword puzzles, and enjoyed playing solitaire and cross stitch.

 

Daughter of the late John and Virginia Nicholson, sister of the late Dorothy (Robert) Festoff, she is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years Myles Carroll, dear aunt of Robert J. (Lucy) Festoff, Christopher L. (Joann) Festoff, Cynthia A. (Louis) Gallo, loving great aunt of Mathew, Andrew, and Eddie Festoff, Samantha, Kyra and Kasey Gallo, Jenna and Grace Festoff.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 10-11 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Entombment will be private for the family. Memorial donations may be made in Joan's name to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 601 Kings Hwy North, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
