James D. Copsetta, Jr. of Clayton passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He was 50 years old. Born in Camden on October 16, 1972 he grew up in Maple Shade and resided there until moving to Clayton just over a year ago. He proudly served his country in the US Marines from 1991-1994. Jim worked as a heavy equipment operator for IOUE Local #542. He belonged to the Dodge Ram Truck Club and also enjoyed weight lifting and country music. Jim was really a cowboy at heart, and was an avid reader and liked listening to audio books. He was a big Harry Potter fan and also had a passion for playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Beloved father of James III (Jackie) Copsetta, Brittney Copsetta, Anthony Copsetta and Lauren Copsetta, loving son of James "Tex" (Dee) Copsetta and Victoria (the late Raymond) Salvatore, dear brother of Diane (Donald) Manka, Tracey Conover, Joseph (Brianna) Salvatore, Lisa (Jared) Ryan, Marie Copsetta-Bhering (Newton), Amanda Salvatore and Jeff (Tammy) Copsetta, Jim will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews and furbabies Russ and Ophelia.
Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering with his family on Sunday, April 30th 12-2 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. A memorial service for Jim will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior project @woundedwarriorproject.org
