Harry J. “Bud” Schofield of Cinnaminson passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was 92 years old. Bud was born in Philadelphia, moved to Palmyra and in 1972 moved to Cinnaminson. He retired from Longshoreman Local #1242. He owned and operated Lincolns Luncheonette in Palmyra. Bud proudly served his country as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean Conflict in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was Captain of the Fort Bragg boxing team, and while at Southern High School Bud competed on the All City Track and Gymnastic team for which his passion continued through the years.
Beloved husband for 70 years of Peggy Schofield (nee Price), loving father of Sherry (Jay) Bedford, Peggy-Jo (Donald) Gerst, the late Victoria Mrock and Brenda Brown, dear brother of June Rhodes, cherished grandfather of Shawn (Tara) Bedford, Eric ( Carla) Bedford, Sharon (Tim) Brown, Devon Gerst and Paige Gerst, adoring great grandfather of Adam, Carson, Ethan and Vada.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Friday, August 27th, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Funeral service will be held 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bud’s name may be made to the PAN Foundation (for melanoma) at pan foundation.org.
