Harold E. Dix

Harold Dix of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, surrounded by family. He was 75 years of age.

 

Harold was a lifelong resident of Maple Shade and a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Merchantville. He was a graduate of Merchantville High School and Glassboro State College (Rowan University). He found much joy in his teaching career and landscaping business. His true joy though was sports. Harold was a talented athlete throughout his youth and excelled in sports throughout high school and college. His love of sports continued throughout his lifetime as he was a die-hard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Sixers. He enjoyed watching games with his family and treasured his time spent at the Vet and the Linc as an Eagles season ticket holder. Harold was also an avid reader of military books and loved a good crossword puzzle.

 

Beloved husband of Nancy, loving father of Stacey and Shelby, and cherished father-in-law of Paul. Loving son of Alice and the late Harold, Sr., dear brother of Dorothy (Robert) Cusano and brother-in-law of Barbara (Jerry) Handloff. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved cat, Mary Ellen.

 

His memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends.

 

Viewing, funeral and burial will be private. Donations may be made in memory of Harold to the Wounded Warrior Project .
