H. Clarke Gillies III "Ty" of Mt Laurel passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old. Born in Melrose, MA on November 18, 1937, he resided in Mt. Laurel for 45 years. Ty was an accomplished businessman and owner of NRG Associates in Mt Laurel. He was a graduate of Bucknell University and a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Ty was actively involved coaching his children's sports teams and attending his grandchildren's sporting events as well. Ty's hobbies included bicycling, playing tennis and he was also an avid Philadelphia sports team fan. His greatest joy was the love he felt for his family and spending time with them.
“ Ty is preceded in death by his dear daughter Kimberly J Moore and is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Nancy Gillies (nee Rebert), his loving children Clarke IV (Ana) Gillies, Jacqueline A. Murray, Jennifer A. (Christopher) Murray, Gregg R. Gillies, dear brother Herbert B. Gillies and sons-in-law James K. Moore and Steven Murray, cherished and devoted grandfather of Michael, Katie, Jessica, Ty, Sean, Sarah, Shannon, C.J., Conner and McKenna, proud great grandfather of Jude, Hattie and Alice. Ty will also be dearly missed by many lifelong great friends.”
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Wednesday, November 17th, 10-11 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade, NJ 08052. Funeral service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ty to the Wounded Warrior Project @support.woundedwarriorproject.org
