George A. Wilhelm

George A. Wilhelm age 70 of Maple Shade passed away on Sunday February 18, 2024. He was born on October 31, 1953 in Riverside to the late John and Mary Jane Wilhelm and grew up in Cinnaminson. He retired after a long career as a truck driver. George coached both youth baseball and football in Maple Shade where he mentored many children. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. He took pleasure in working in his garden and yard where he liked to grill and always enjoyed a good meal. George was a valued true friend and was always right there when needed by anyone.
 
Beloved husband of 35 years to the late Christine, who was his high school sweetheart, loving father to Danielle Wilhelm and John Wilhelm, dear brother of Barbara and Jim Repsher, Dan and Judi Wilhelm and Don Wilhelm, brother-in-law of Rick Ditzler, George also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and good friends, his cat Bubba and his faithful dogs Brindal and Cloe.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Thursday, February 29, 2024, 6-8 PM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. His memorial service will follow at 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his family.
