George L. Nelson, Jr.

George L. Nelson, Jr. of Maple Shade, age 81 passed away on July 4, 2020. Born on November 30, 1938 in Philadelphia, George was a 60 year resident of Maple Shade. He was employed as a talented carpenter and home builder.

Loving father of George L. Nelson III, Kimberly (Mark) Chiocchi, and William J. Nelson, dear brother of Frances (Midge) Brown, Harry (Maryann) Nelson, Patricia (Walter) Salabritas, and Helen (Guy) Nicholson, cherished grandfather of Thomas (Heather) Miller III, Robert John Miller, William Nelson, Matthew Nelson and Barbara Jane Nelson, adoring great grandfather of Angel, Navaeh, Dorothy, Robert John, Autumn, Anastasia and Spencer, Also survived by many nieces and nephews, predeceased by his parents George L. and Frances Nelson, brother John Nelson, and Kay and Jack Dueber.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 8th, 11 am -12 noon at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade, followed by a 12:30 pm graveside service at Locustwood Memorial Park, Rt 70 Cherry Hill. Social distancing will be in place, facial coverings will be required for all, and visitors are asked to leave the premises and return to their cars immediately after paying their respects.
