Ellen M. Madill

Ellen M. Madill of Hamilton, NJ passed away peacefully March 12, 2022. She was born in Hancock, Michigan in1929 and was 93 years old. She spent her youth and young adulthood in Michigan. After graduating with a BA from Michigan State University, Ellen moved to New Jersey. She taught art in Hamilton, NJ for the next 25 years. During that time, she received her MA from Rider University. In 1990, she was awarded outstanding teacher of the year at Hamilton High West. Ellen was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, American Association of University Women and the Mercer County Retired Teachers Association. In her spare time, Ellen loved to travel, read and listen to opera. She was never happier than when she was working in her garden. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Ellen is survived by her three sons and their spouses: Steven and Barbara A. Mosley, Dennis and Barbara H. Mosley, Rick and Susan Mosley; plus 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Services will be held privately.
