Ellen C. Laurick

Ellen C. Laurick of Maple Shade passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. She was 80 years old. Ellen was born in Camden on April 21, 1944 to the late John and Elsie Laurick and was a lifetime resident of Maple Shade. Loving mother of the late Marc Laurick, dear sister of Edward (Eileen) Laurick, and cherished grandmother of Melissa Phillips. Beloved aunt to John, Kevin, and Kim, and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many cousins and longtime friends. 

Ellen was fiercely independent her whole life and enjoyed working, having spent most of her career at Schaevitz Engineering in Pennsauken as an electronics assembler. Later she worked at several Hallmark stores. Ellen loved the beach, gardening, and trying new recipes, but her happiest times were spent with family. Dyeing Easter eggs with all of the “kids” is a tradition she looked forward to each year. She was outgoing and friendly, and all who knew her loved her. She will be missed by many. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with her family on Sunday, September 29th, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home.
