Elizabeth M. Deaner

Elizabeth M. Deaner (nee Burton) of Ocean City, NJ, formerly of Pennsauken and Maple Shade, passed away peacefully at the age of 100 surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was born in Rugby, England on May 20, 1924 to the late William and Margaret Burton. She had worked as a bus aide for Pennsauken Twp. schools and was a member of the Pennsauken Senior citizens club and The Jetts both in Pennsauken. Elizabeth was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and also enjoyed a cup of tea and gardening, but her greatest joy was her family and spending time with them.

Wife of the late Charles Deaner, loving mother of Margaret (the late Nick) Dorofee, Charles, Jr. (Ann) Deaner, Robert (Felicia) Deaner, David (Colleen) Deaner and Richard (Debbie) Deaner, cherished grandmother of 13 and adored great grandmother of 16.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family on Thursday September 5th, 10-11 AM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Her funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
