Dorothy M. Scully

Dorothy M. Scully of Delran passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was 85 years old. Born in Camden on July 24, 1937 to the late Ferdinand and Dorothy Scully, she grew up in Maple Shade and resided in Pennsauken before moving to Delran 5 years ago. Dorothy retired from NJ Bell Telephone, where she worked for many years as a telemarketer. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and also active with her church, Church of Jesus Christ of the Apolistic Faith. Dorothy enjoyed trips to Wildwood and Longwood Gardens. She was an excellent baker and known for her delicious pound cakes among many other baked goods.

 

Loving mother of Jeanette Rappo, cherished grandmother of Amanda Scully (Rob Holmes), Stephen Freed and James Tulino, dear sister of Leon Scully, Robert Scully, Jack Scully, Michael Scully, Laura Schlanze, and Margaret Lee, and sister of the late James and Ferdinand Scully, she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and her dear grand dog Matilda.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to  a visitation with her family on Saturday, May 27th, 2 pm - 4 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. A memorial service for Dorothy will follow at 4 pm. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to ACCT Philly, C/O Development, 111 W.
