Dorothy S. Madison

Dorothy "Dolly" S. Madison (nee Phillips) of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Monday August 19, 2024. She was 93 years old. Dolly was born in Maple Shade on August 16,1931 to the late Joseph and Philomena Phillips, and was a lifelong resident. She had formerly worked as an underwriter for Kaufman-Wimberg Insurance Agency in Maple Shade. Dolly was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She enjoyed traveling to the Florida Keys and spending time at her condominium in Wildwood. Her greatest joy was just being with her family.

Beloved wife of the late Harry P. Madison, Jr. and dear longtime companion of Richard Donovan, loving mother of Mary Jo (Christopher) Dwyer, and the late Harry P. Madison III, cherished grandmother of Morgan and Shannon, mother-in-law of Fran Madison, Dolly will also be missed by many nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with family on Monday August 26, 2024, 8:30-10:30 AM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation on Monday 11 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
