Dorothy "Dottie" H. Carr

Dorothy “Dottie” H.(nee) Schreyer Carr of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Born October 23, 1944 in Camden to the late Norman Sr. and Dorothy Schreyer. She was 78 years old. Dorothy grew up in Pennsauken before moving to Maple Shade where she lived for many years after getting married. She then retired to Florida in 1998 but recently moved back to Maple Shade to enjoy her final days with her family. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Dorothy enjoyed baking, making pierogies, boating, and eating delicious crabs. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was her greatest pleasure.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Carr, Sr. Loving mother of Joseph E., Jr (Kelly) Carr, Edward T. Carr (partner Rita Hoagland) and Thomas J.,Sr (Angela) Carr, cherished grandmother of Jeffrey (Kara), Ryan, Matison, Tommy, Riley and Colton. Adoring great grandmother of Eliza, Lily, Joey, Lucas and Kristofur. Dear sister of the late Susan Manzi.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with her family on Monday July 17th, 10-11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (Pediatric Cancer) 3401 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
