Dorothy Carey

Dorothy “Dot” Carey age 92, of Cherry Hill passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on November 2, 2019. She was born on April 5, 1927 in Philadelphia, and was a longtime resident of Maple Shade before moving to Cherry Hill 19 years ago. Dot worked for many years at the Apparel Shop in Maple Shade. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Henry “Harry” Carey, loving mother of Maureen (John) Benson, Eileen (Rich) Gangloff, Dennis, Kevin, Connell and Brian Carey, dear grandmother of 6, and proud great grandmother of 5.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family on Wednesday, November 6th 10-11 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Funeral service will take place at 11 am. Interment will follow in Colestown Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly asked for memorial donations to Samaritan Hospice, @samaritan.org or 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
