Desiree L. Helmus

Desiree had a way of taking over every room she entered. She effortlessly became a friend to everyone that she met. Her laugh was so authentically hers, both mischievous and contagious. Desiree had a huge heart, always worn prominently on her sleeve. A lifelong collection of sentimental knickknacks represents how tightly and fondly she held onto memories and loved ones. She worshiped the sun and was most at peace on the beach, collecting shells. Desiree’s nephew, Devon, was the light of her life and they shared a common love for animals. 

Loving daughter of Sandra and Mark Gnatz, cherished granddaughter of Jack (the late) Mary Povich, dear sister of Nicole DelGozzo, Edward Dippolito, Tiffany (James) Hawke and Krystle Ammann, special aunt of Devon, and will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with her family on Tuesday June 4th, 11 AM-1 PM  at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. A memorial service for Desiree will follow at 1 PM.
