David W. Ensign

David W. Ensign of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was 59 years old. Born in Woodbury on December 28, 1963, he was a lifetime resident of Maple Shade. Dave was a self employed auto mechanic and owner of Ensign's Auto Repair on Main Street in Maple Shade. He could often be found in Key West, Florida, a place he truly loved. A cold Budweiser, listening to the Juliano Brothers Band, riding motorcycles and the Philadelphia Eagles were among the many things Dave enjoyed. He truly loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
 
Beloved husband of 19 years to Doreen Ensign (nee Fischer), loving father of Jennifer (Kevin) Donahue, dear son of Florence (the late Donald, Sr.) Ensign, devoted brother of Donald Ensign, Jr. (Bonnie Stevens),  Diane (Tim) Gauntt, Debbie Ensign, and Dale (Amberlynn) Ensign, loving son-in-law of Florence (the late Joseph) Fischer, dear brother-in-law of Debbie (Michael) Murphy, Joe Fischer (Jackie Cappelli), John (Sandy) Fischer, and Denise (Rick) Butler, Dave will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Tuesday, May 23rd, 5-9 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Informal funeral service will be held at 9 pm following the viewing. Interment will be private.
