David B. Dessin,Sr.

David B. Dessin, Sr. of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the age of 86. Dave was born on November 17, 1936, and grew up in Moorestown, NJ. He graduated from Moorestown High School where this football player met his cheerleader sweetheart, Doris, who he later married and resided with in Maple Shade.
Dave proudly served in the U. S. Air Force from 1955-1959, where he was stationed in Newfoundland. He then worked for RCA and Greyhound before finding his niche in the field of HVAC. Dave worked for several companies before establishing D & D Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. in 1984.

Beloved husband of 65 years to Doris Dessin (nee Miller), loving father of Dolores (Steve) White, Donna (Doug) Ball, David (Eileen) Dessin, Jr., and Denise (Lee) Schroeder, cherished grandfather of Stephen White, Brittany Dessin, Douglas (Jenny) Ball, Randy Ball, and Shane Wittkop, proud great-grandfather to James and Anthony Ball. Survived by his brother-in-law, Donald (Cathi) Miller along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Betty (Bob) Lloyd and brother, Duffield (Mary) Dessin.

Dave was a very generous, fun loving and caring man with a good sense of humor. He was very involved with various organizations over the years such as the YMCA Indian Guides, Maple Shade Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball, Maple Shade Lion’s Club, which he was president three times, Maple Shade Business Association since inception, and various seasonal/holiday township activities. Dave loved to golf. He organized and ran golf tournaments for OLPH and Maple Shade Lion’s Club for more than 12 years. He also enjoyed his hats, cigars, margaritas and vacationing in The Villages, Florida.

Relatives, friends and acquaintances are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Friday,
July 21, 2023 from 6:00-9:00 PM, and Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the MARK C.TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N.Forklanding Road, Maple Shade, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (OLPH), 236 Main Street, Maple Shade, NJ.
