Anthony R. Volpe of Maple Shade passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was 65 years old. Born in Mt. Holly he was a lifelong resident of Maple Shade. He retired from IUOE Local #542 as a heavy equipment operator. Anthony enjoyed, proudly driving and showing his 1955 Chevy in various car shows in the area. He was an avid fisherman, Eagles and Phillies fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Anthony will be remembered as a kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather and good friend. Son of the late Michael J. and Catherine Volpe, brother of the late Michael, beloved husband of Claire Volpe (nee Jaskolski), loving father of Tony and Ed (Stefanie), dear brother of Catherine Volpe, cherished Pop Pop of Shauna, Isabelle and Eddie, son-in-law of Lorraine Jaskolski, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Tuesday evening, January 9th, 6-9 pm and Wednesday, January 10th, 9-11 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
