Ana R. Duran

Ana R. Duran, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of her family. She was born on February 25, 1944, in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico.  Ana and her family moved to Camden, NJ when she was young where she graduated from Camden High School.

Ana married her soulmate, Jorge Duran in 1964 and together they embarked on a life full of joy and shared dreams. Their union was blessed with 2 sons, Luis and Michael, who inherited their mother's kindheartedness and tenacity. Although Ana faced the heartbreaking loss of her son Michael in 2006, her love for her family never wavered.

Ana's professional life was marked by her role as an Assembly Technician at RCA then Martin Marietta then Lockheed Martin, where she worked for over 25 years.

Outside of her career, Ana's interests were for the simple pleasures of life.  She loved to go to the Casino’s, were she usually won.  She also loved her garden and being in her kitchen preparing to feed everyone who stopped by, whether they were hungry or not.

Ana was a devoted wife to Jorge, doting mother to son Luis and his wife Judy, a proud grandmother to Danielle, Brandon and his wife Lauren, Damian, Angelique and her future husband Jose Henriques, Deanna, Jaqueline and her husband James Copsetta, and mother-in-law to Gina Duran. She was also a beloved sister to Carmen Gonzalez and her husband Jose, Nydia Torres and her husband Wilfredo, Estivina Centeno and her husband Sigmund, and a cherished Aunt to many to many nieces and nephews including Elizabeth and Mike Costello, Esther and Dana Gibson and Evelyn Carlin.  Ana was predeceased by her brother Hector Diaz and son Michael Duran.

Ana's presence will forever be felt in the hearts of her family and friends. Her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, as they honor her memory by living life to the fullest, just as she did.
