Alberta (Alma) Rott
Heaven gained an angel when our beloved, mother, grandmother and friend passed. She was a treasure who throughout her life helped so many others before she ever helped herself.
She had a passion for her grandchildren and attended any and all of their sports, music, and plays, she loved being a part of all of it. If she was invited she was there no matter what.
She loved to feed the world, from her gigantic turkeys, Sunday roast beef dinners, and her meatballs were eaten at all family parties, if you where a friend she would make them for you too. She could "roll" 50 lbs in 2 hours on a slow day.
Alma was a waitress for over 37 years where she "served" coffee with a smile, and her no-nonsense "wit" at Penn Queen, Chasnicks, and Ponzios, she had many regulars who would only sit at her counter.
A life well lived and loved by husband Donald L. Rott (predeceased). Survived by son Ralph (Beverly) Laltrella, grandchildren Jamie Laltrella and Angela Farren. Son Marty and (Jen) Laltrella. Daughter Joann (Bill, best “son”-in-law ever) Moore, grandchildren Joshua and Kyle Moore. Daughter Patricia and (Steve) Rieger, grandchildren Jen Rieger, and Steven Rieger. Son Brian Rott, and grandchildren Laura and Gina Rott.
She is survived by her loving sister Jean Robel of Shamong, and predeceased by brothers Harry, Richard, and Joseph Simpkins.
Alma had many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren, including some fur babies too, she is also survived by 4 stepchildren, Sandra, Janice, Donna and Billy.
Her family would like to thank Holly, Jennifer, Tracy and Judy for the wonderful care they gave to their mother Alma.
