Albert J. “Bud” Strimel age 81 of Maple Shade passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. He was born on August 4, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pa. Bud proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 33 years with the Philadelphia Fire Department, Local #22. Bud was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed the mountains of Pennsylvania, but above all he enjoyed spending time with his cherished wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved husband of Catherine “Pat” Strimel (nee Rowan), loving father of Colleen (the late Steven) Parrish, Karen (Joe) Wellein, Robert (Angie) Strimel, Beth (Fred) Curley, Michael (Tara) Strimel, dear grandfather of James Strimel, Christine Strimel, Steven Parrish, Joseph Wellein, Robert Strimel, Jordan Huynh, Brynn, Curley, Freddy Curley, Michael Strimel and Lauren Strimel, proud great grandfather of Blake, Jayce, Summer, Travis, James, and Brooke, Bud was also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Saturday, August 31st, 10-11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment with military honors, Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
