Marc A. Laurick, 53, passed away while visiting Amsterdam, Netherlands on May 10, 2017. He is survived by devoted mother, Ellen Laurick of Maple Shade, loving daughter Melissa Phillips of Merchantville, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Marc was born and raised in Maple Shade, but had lived in Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, and Seattle for periods of his life, the moves often fueled by his unending passion for music. A talented bass player, songwriter, singer, and producer, he devoted his life to his craft. Marc has played with countless musicians covering infinite genres and his musical knowledge seemed limitless. He influenced many and is already missed in the music community. In addition, Marc loved to read, hike and explore the Pine Barrens, garden, and spend time at the shore, particularly on the bay in West Wildwood or Corson’s Inlet, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Marc’s family and friends are encouraged to attend a visitation on July 22, 2017, 10-11 am followed by his memorial service at 11 am service, at the Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade, NJ 08052. In lieu of flowers, donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (jdrf.org) are appreciated.
