Robert J. Gardner

Robert J. Gardner, age 84, of Maple Shade passed away on April 13, 2017. Born in Collingswood, he was a lifelong resident of Maple Shade. Bob retired from RCA in Camden. He was a member of St John's Episcopal Church, an exempt member of Maple Shade Fire Dept. and one of the original members of the Maple Shade First Aid Squad. He was a 31 year member of A.A. Beloved husband of 54 years of the late Dorothy Gardner (nee Cooker), loving father of Robert Jr, (Patricia) Gardner, Cheryl (Curtis) Schaaf, Christina (Thomas) Crowthers, Joseph (Diane) Gardner and adopted daughter Lori (William) Farr, devoted grandfather of 21 and proud great grandfather of 11. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday evening April 18th, 6-9pm, at the Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 N. Forklanding Rd, Maple Shade. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday 10 am at St. John's Episcopal Church, 41 Linwood Ave., Maple Shade. (Please meet directly at the Church on Wednesday morning) Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St.John's Episcopal Church at the above address.
