Carolyn M. Johnson (nee Macchia) of Maple Shade passed away suddenly on January 23, 2017 at the age of 83. She was the beloved wife of the late Earl T. Johnson for 50 years. Loving mother of Michele (Mark) Woods, Lisa (Robert) Foy, Jeffrey (Kim) Johnson, Angela (Michael) Broome and Caroleann (Rick) Wharton. Proud grandmother of Damien (Jodi), Aaron (Amanda), Brent, Lauren (Richard), Evan, Nicolette, Colin and Liam. Dear great grandmother of Mason, Tatum, Madison, Brooke and Brody. Devoted sister of Phyllis Bergbauer, the late Marie Catamusto and Rocco Macchia. Born in Camden, she was a longtime resident of Maple Shade and Pennsauken. Carolyn retired after 30 years at the Courier Post. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (O.L.P.H) Church in Maple Shade and past president of the Maple Shade Chapter of Deborah Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and playing cards. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family on Friday, January 27, 10-12 noon at O.L.P.H. Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
