Clara S. Holtz (Sheppard nee Godwin) of Maple Shade, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 6, 2017. For 57 years Clara was the loving wife of Richard E. Holtz (deceased). She is survived by their children: Bill Sheppard (Esther), Bob Sheppard (Betty), Bonnie Sheppard, Bryan Holtz (Amy), Barbara Lotierzo (Michael) as well as Grandchildren: Ben White (Jordan), Emily White, Mitchell Lotierzo (Mikaila), Jon Lotierzo, Matt Lotierzo (Christeen), Frank Sheppard, Alex Sheppard, Great-granddaughter Ava White, several nieces and nephews and their families. Clara was 88 years old, born in Camden, NJ; she graduated from Merchantville High School in 1946 and then attended the Philadelphia College of the Bible. She and Richard raised their children in Maple Shade. In addition to being a Mother of five, she had a long career with the law firm Hyland , Davis and Reberkenny in Cherry Hill and also with the Cooper Abstract Company. In the 1970’s Clara was a volunteer member of the Maple Shade First Aid Squad. She was their recording secretary. Clara and Richard were members of the Heritage Baptist Church and it was there that they became close friends with Pat Hamilton. The family would like to recognize Pat for the friendship she provided in her many visits with Clara. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Heritage Baptist Church, 530 Union Mill Road, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Heritage Baptist Church at the above address www.heritageministries.com .
