Born February 19, 1927 in Delair, NJ to Elvin and Georgeanna Wyman who predeceased her. She passed away peacefully at Aspen Hills on October 8, 2016 while under the care of Serenity Hospice. She grew up in the Cramer Hill section of Camden graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduation she worked at Penn Mutual Ins. in Philadelphia, Pa where she worked until she had her first child. She was married to the late John Pestridge. After a number of years as a stay at home mom, she held a number of sales and clerical positions. She was the assistant manager of Queen’s Health food store for a number of years and retired as a Medical Records clerk at Virtua Memorial. She also was a long time Sunday school Teacher at St. John’s Episcopal church and the Treasurer of the St. John’s women’s club. Additionally, she was a Girl Scout leader in Moorestown where she resided for more than 57 years. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Claudia Storicks (Harry deceased) of Pemberton, her son in law Michael Mullin (predeceased by her daughter Carol Mullin) of Moorestown, and her daughters Christine Pestridge of Bayville and Cathleen Tabasso (Gregory) of Tabernacle. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Van Emburgh (Chuck) of Tabernacle, Jessica Storicks of Browns Mills, Jillianne Storicks of Pemberton, Gregory Tabasso Jr. of Conshohocken, Joshua and Abigail Tabasso of Tabernacle, and Emily and Kevin Mullin of Moorestown, as well as great grandson’s Brandon Van Emburgh, Nathan Van Emburgh, and Darrel Fields. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church 41 East Linwood Avenue, Maple Shade, NJ on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2pm. Visitation with the family will precede the service from 1 pm to 2 pm at the church.
