Helen Husa (nee Pray) of Sun City, Arizona formerly of Maple Shade passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on March 20, 2016. As was her nature, Helen faced her death focused and without fear. She was born in Turnersville and was a longtime resident of Maple Shade. Helen was a medical technician and heavy transport truck driver in the Army and Air Force serving during WWII and retired from the Burlington County Bridge Commission where she worked as a toll collector. Helen was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, past president of the Maple Shade Leisure Club, member of the Maple Shade American Legion and VFW and the Redman Degree of Pocahontas #136. Helen was a force in Maple Shade for many years. Beloved wife of the late Carl Husa, Sr., (the Baron of Buttonwood) devoted and loving mother of Carl Husa, Jr. and Dr. Marie Hatam. Relatives and friends are invited to Helen's viewing and visitation on Friday evening, March 25th 6-8 pm and Saturday 8:30-9:30 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd, Maple Shade. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 10 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 S. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
