A retired LPN from Deborah Hospital and Haddonfield Presbyterian Home for Assisted Living. Marie went back to school in her 40's for nursing and worked for Deborah Hospital for 20 years. After retiring from Deborah, she went on to work at the Haddonfield Presbyterian Home until finally retiring at the age of 78. When asked why she worked so long, her response was “as long as my hands can help someone, I will.” She leaves a legacy of love and kindness and a strong, inspiring faith in the Lord. She was a peacemaker, always being the first to apologize and say “Let’s wipe the slate clean and start over.” She loved music and was a very good pianist. Marie was generous in every way. She would give you the last dollar in her pocket, offer you whatever she had to eat, let you borrow her car, and even offer you a place to stay if you were in need. She was a caregiver to her brother and two sisters at the end of their journeys. She was always willing to give of her self and her time, to help anyone in need. She is loved. She will be remembered and missed dearly. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Christ Our Light Church, Cherry Hill, NJ or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation at yourcpf.org.
