On March 1, 2016, Ruth entered heaven to live with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was a mother and housewife all of her adult life and a treasure to her family, and she will deeply missed. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Maple Shade since she was 16, where she taught Sunday School, directed Vacation Bible School, worked as a youth leader, Pioneer Girls, and Awana. She attended Woman's Missionary, 20+, Ladies Fellowship, OWLS, and sang in the choir, which she dearly loved. Ruth loved the seashore, especially the beach, and hiking on Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. Ruth turned 100 years old in September 2015. Ruth, wife of the late Earl Johnson (1912-1997), is survived by her 8 children, Wayne (Ruth) Johnson, Judith Fegley, Sharon, Marilyn (Terry) Cussat, Sandra (Michael) Stolzer, Carol Sue (Kenny) Gedling, Linda (Jim) Main, Robin (George) Kline, 22 Grandchildren, and 20 Great Grandchildren. Friends may call 7PM to 9PM Sunday and after 10AM Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church, Main Street and Poplar Avenue, Maple Shade, NJ, where a celebration of life service will be held at 11AM Monday. Interment following the service at Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 233 E.
