MILDRED PASSED AWAY ON FEBRUARY 11, 2016, FROM HER LONG AND COURAGEOUS BATTLE WITH OVARIAN CANCER, AT HER HOME IN CITRA FLORIDA WITH HER FAMILY BY HER SIDE. SHE WAS BORN AT HOME IN MAPLE SHADE NJ DECEMBER 23, 1945 SURVIVED BY HER PARENTS, ADELINE AND JOHN SMITH. MILDRED HAS 4 BROTHERS AND SISTERS, HER BROTHER CHARLES OF GRAND RAPIDS MICHIGAN, JOHN JR (DECEASED) KATHRYN OF MARLTON NJ AND ADELINE (DECEASED). SHE WAS ALSO A LOVING AND DEVOTED WIFE TO JOSEPH, WHOSE RELATIONSHIP BEGAN IN 1963. THEN AFTER HER SENIOR PROM JOSEPH PROPOSED AND ON DECEMBER 5TH 1964 THEY MARRIED AND STARTED A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY WITH 4 CHILDREN; LISA DONIA-BUZZERD (ROBERT), JOSEPH JR (BETH), GREGORY (JANICE) AND SCOTT (BECKY). SHE WAS BLESSED WITH 10 GRANDCHILDREN, PETER, MATTHEW, NICOLE, TAYLOR, CARLEY, GRACE, NOELLE, ISABELLA, BROOKLYNN AND JOSEPHINA WHOM SHE LOVED WITH ALL HER HEART. KNOWN TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS MIDGE, SHE WAS A LONGTIME RESIDENT OF TABERNACLE NJ WHERE SHE AND JOSEPH RAISED THEIR FAMILY. SHE RETIRED IN 2008 FROM OVER 25 YEARS OF SERVICE TO OKIDATA OF MT. LAUREL NJ. SHE LOVED TO GOLF WITH HER GIRLFRIENDS FOR ALL DIFFERENT CHARITY EVENTS BUT ENJOYED THE COURSE MOST WHEN PLAYING GOLF WITH HER HUSBAND. SHE ENJOYED PASSING ALONG HER MANY RECIPES AND TALENTS FOR COOKING TO HER KIDS AND GRANDKIDS AS THIS BROUGHT HER MUCH JOY. IN MILDRED’S RETIRED YEARS SHE ENJOYED TRAVELING AND VISITING THE CASINO IN ATLANTIC CITY UNTIL SHE MOVED TO FLORIDA IN THE SUMMER OF 2015 TO BE CLOSE TO HER DAUGHTER FOR HER CARE. BUT MOST OF ALL SHE LOVED HER FAMILY AND HER HUSBAND JOEY WITH OVER 50 YEARS MARRIAGE. MIDGE AND JOEY WERE INSERPERABLE AND THEIR LOVE GREW STRONGER AND DEEPER THROUGHOUT THE YEARS. HER FAMILY THANKS HER, LOVES HER AND WILL MISS HER. RELATIVES AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO HER VIEWING AND VISITATION WITH HER FAMILY MONDAY EVENING 7-9 PM AND TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH 10-11 AM AT THE MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. FORKLANDING ROAD, MAPLE SHADE. FUNERAL SERVICE WILL FOLLOW AT 11 AM. INTERMENT WILL BE IN LAKEVIEW CEMETERY, CINNAMINSON, NJ, FOLLOWED BY A LUNCHEON AT FONTANA'S IN MAPLE SHADE.
