Edgar R. Farr, Sr.

Edgar R. Farr, Sr. age 75 of Maple Shade passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday May 12, 2015. Born in Camden, he resided in Maple Shade for the last 50 years. Ed was an Army Veteran. He retired from NJ Transit after 32 years, and also worked as a Shop Steward with Local 880 during this time. Ed was a former member of the Maple Shade Jaycees, but most important to him was spending time with his family. Beloved husband of 57 years to Meredith Farr (nee Hayes), loving father of Deserie (Robert) Shull, Edgar Farr, Jr (Dorothy), Donna (William) Tootell and Michael (Patricia) Farr, cherished grandfather of Jon, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Robert (Ashley), Lorena, Jacquiline, Karl, Courtney, Michael Jr., Kaitlyn, Emily, and Abigail, dear great grandfather of Madison, Lily, and Maddox, devoted brother of William Farr, Sr., Dorothy Laudas and Linda Kurz, and special uncle to many nieces and nephews. To honor Ed's life, his family would like to invite his close friends and neighbors to a celebration luncheon on Saturday May 30th, 12-3 pm at Fontana's Café in Maple Shade.
