James A. Mancuso

James A. Mancuso age 87 of Maple Shade passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a long illness on Wednesday January 28, 2015. Predeceased by his first wife, Ruth (nee Rahn), son of the late Anthony and Amelia (nee Paulero) Mancuso, predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Joseph, and Rocco and stepdaughter Teresa Wilson. Survived by his beloved wife Dolores (nee Mitchell-Floyd), cherished children Patricia Fiume-Rafferty (Robert), James J. (Janet), and Thomas (Maureen), stepdaughter Linda Horner (late Thomas), beloved grandfather of Louis J. Fiume III (Natalie), Nicholas Fiume, April Altimari (Derrick), Rachael Cannon (Matt), James, Andrew, Katie Mancuso and Thomas Horner, great grandfather of Paul Fiume, Kayla Burke, Alyssa and Erin Straile, Caleb Cannon, Derrick and Jayden Altimari, Louis J. Fiume IV, James and Alexis Mancuso, Christopher and Brianna Horner, also survived by many cherished friends and family members. He will be greatly missed. Jim and his brothers opened A. Mancuso & Sons Automotive in Maple Shade in 1945 and operated there until 1969. He opened his own automotive shop at his home in 1971 until his retirement in 1991. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Jim was an avid boater and fisherman and spent many summers at family homes on Long Beach Island and Tuckerton, fishing every Thursday for many years in Fortescue with his gang of friends. He was a longtime member of OLPH parish and an usher for many years. He was a kind and gentle man who was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jim's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February 2nd, 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment will be in Colestown cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Sunday, February 1st, 4-7 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd, Maple Shade and on Monday 10-10:45 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to OLPH church at the above address or Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
