Eva Weiss age 95 of Cherry Hill passed away on January 19, 2015. Born in Warsaw, Poland, she resided in Brooklyn, NY and all over the East Coast while her husband served in the US Air force. Eventually settling in Willingboro in 1959 and then to Moorestown to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Eva was employed as Burlington County Bridge Commissioner and was the first woman Bridge Commissioner in the United States. She was a member of the Willingboro Democratic Club, and the Moorestown Senior Ladies Club. She was a Brownie Troop Co-Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, former secretary of the NCO Wives Club and a member of the Burlington County Board of Realtors. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Weiss (Ret. Master Sergeant USAF), loving mother of Michal Cynthia (Eric) Klein, Jack (Ret SMSgt USAF) (Ester) Weiss, cherished grandmother of Benjamin Klein (CPA), Samantha Weiss and Normand Burroughs, Lt Col USAF National Guard. Eva's funeral service will be held on Thursday evening January 22nd, 8 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with her family Thursday evening 7-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington,Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare Assoc., 509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043 or Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, 6 Sawmill Ct., Medford, NJ 08055.
